The Hypno-Beginning method was created by Dr. Nathalie Fiset, a wonderful French-Canadian family physician, who has
attended over 2200 births. She has combined her experience
as a physician with her experience as a hypnotherapist and
has created a flawless system that gives an expectant mother
all the skills she needs to experience a peaceful, natural
and comfortable birth.
Women in our western culture are continuously given the
suggestion that having a baby is excruciatingly painful and
even unnatural. This message is given through TV and movies,
by doctors, and even by mothers who like to share their
birthing war-stories with expectant women.
Women come fully equipped with the physiological,
psychological and emotional tools needed to have a peaceful,
safe and natural birth. The program teaches women how to
utilize those tools. It also teaches women the tools they
need to induce a natural anesthesia through the power of
their own mind, which reduces, eliminates even, any
discomfort during the birth. Also, a woman who uses hypnosis
during birth often reduces her time in labor because she is
deeply relaxed, which allows her body to do its natural work
without tension or resistance.
If there is a true need for
medical intervention, the Hypno-Beginning program also
provides the skills needed to remain relaxed and to respond
well to surgery or chemical intervention.
Equally important, training in the Hypno-Beginning method
also gives the baby a stress-free, and most likely
drug-free, start to his or her life. Parents and babies
deserve to start their life together as a family in the most
peaceful, joyful, safe and satisfying way possible, and this
is the gift that Dr. Fiset has given to them through her
Hypno-Beginning program.
